Help Support the Party

Each party location has to have enough donations and/or volunteers to ensure that all of the attendees are able to experience the spirit of Chicago and enjoy the Chicagoland area. Listed below are some of the supplies that we need at each party location and the different roles anyone can volunteer to fill. Since this is a community lead project, we are also welcoming groups to volunteer together! Any and all help, even just spreading the word, will be appreciated.

If you haven't yet, please show your support and interest in having a Chicagoland party by filling out a quick form.

Supplies

01

Dresscode

We want everyone attending the parties to come dressed for a party! Any donations of Chicago hats, shirts, or other merchandise that shows the spirit of Chicagoland are welcome. Everyone in attendance should be welcoming and showing their Chicago pride.

02

Food

We want everyone who attends to be able to get a meal and enjoy their time at the party without feeling hungry. We welcome anyone in the community to sign up to bring food or donate catering from a restaurant. Depending on the party location, some restaurants can even set up a stall to sell food.

03

Entertainment

As a diverse city, Chicago has a lot of different forms of entertainment. We welcome bands, djs, choirs, dance groups, and more to volunteer their time and show their Chicago pride!

04

Activities

Each party will have a unique set of activities for all age groups that meet the needs of each area. Any supplies - such as facepaint, coloring books, chalk, bubbles, jump ropes, etc - is greatly appreciated.

Volunteers

A big part of making this Chicago wide party a possibility is volunteers. We want everyone to feel safe an informed. There is a role for anyone who would like to get involved and help the party come to life! Please consider helping us with any of the roles listed bellow:

  • Coordinator - Since the party is just getting started (in the planning phases), please consider becoming a location's coordinator or point of contact!
  • Guide - Help people find what they are looking for and inform people of any changes to the party itinerary.
  • Information Desk Attendant - Inform attendees about the different things going on throughout Chicagoland and the USA today. We will be providing infographics to our communities about:
    • How to support their local businesses and community
    • Public resources available in Chicago or nationwide
    • Who are the people currently in political office and what their jobs are
    • What each person's rights are as a person living in Chicago/Illinois
    • Charitable organizations that are helping our communities stay strong
  • Crowd Control - Help us keep everyone safe by ensuring the party stays where it is supposed to and that everyone feels the welcoming Chicago spirit.
  • Food distribution - Help serve food at the event to ensure everything is handled in a sanitary manner to everyone in attendance.
  • Transportation - Some people in our communities need help getting to the party or getting home after, be the one to help.
